Changing the font size of the application in your browser

 
Explanation

This section describes the various ways to change the font size in your browser.

The procedure can deviate slightly depending on the browser version you are using.

Operating system Windows

Option 1 (keyboard):

Firefox, Chrome and Microsoft Edge:

a)

Press and hold the [ CTRL ] key on your keyboard.

b)

Press the [ + ] key to increase the font size or the [ - ] key to decrease the font size.

c)

To reset the font size to the default, press [ STRG ] and 0 (zero).

Option 2 (keyboard and mouse):

Firefox, Chrome and Microsoft Edge:

a)

Press and hold the [ CTRL ] key on your keyboard.

b)

Scroll up or down with the mouse wheel.

Depending on the scrolling direction you increase or decrease the font size.

c)

To reset the font size to the default, press [ STRG ] and 0 (zero).

Option 3 (browser menu):

Firefox:

a)

Open the menu.

b)

In the upper menu area (-/100%/+), select the required font size.

Chrome and Microsoft Edge:

a)

Open the menu.

b)

In the area Zoom (-/<current setting>%/+), select the desired font size.

Operating system macOS

Option 1 (keyboard):

Safari, Firefox, Chrome and Microsoft Edge:

a)

Press and hold the [ CMD ] key on your keyboard.

b)

Press the [ + ] key to increase the font size or the [ - ] key to decrease the font size.

c)

To reset the font size to the default, press [ CMD ] and 0 (zero).

Option 2 (keyboard and mouse):

Safari, Firefox, Chrome and Microsoft Edge:

a)

Press and hold the [ CMD ] key on your keyboard.

b)

Turn the mouse wheel and/or perform the scroll gesture.

Depending on the direction, you increase or decrease the font size.

c)

To reset the font size to the default, press [ CMD ] and 0 (zero).

Option 3 (browser menu):

Firefox:

a)

Open the menu.

b)

In the upper menu area (-/100%/+), select the required font size.

Chrome and Microsoft Edge:

a)

Open the menu.

b)

In the area Zoom (-/<current setting>%/+), select the desired font size.

Safari:

a)

In the menu bar, select Safari ➔ Preferences.

b)

Open the tab Advanced.

c)

Under the menu item Accessibility, tick the checkbox Never use font sizes smaller than.

d)

Select the minimum font size to be displayed from the selection list next to the checkbox.

e)

Close the menu.
